Doris Lavenia Bond's Obituary
Doris Lavenia Bond age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 in the Golden Living-Blue Ridge Center.
Mrs. Bond was born in Fries, Virginia on November 1 1923 to Wayne and Ethel Anderson Byrd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Michael Bond.
She is survived by her daughters ad sons-in-law Doris and Glen Edwards of Hillsville, Virginia; Diana and Douglas Aldred of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Herbert and Jean Vaughan of Richmond, Virginia; Randy and Pat Bond of Baywood, Virginia; Johnny and Denise Bond of Dugspur, Virginia; Todd Bond of Galax, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; father of the children Otis Bond.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 3 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
