Dora Lemaster Funk of Galax Va. passed away peacefully at home Sunday Sept. 5th, 2021, Dora was born December 11, 1940 to Bate and Opal Gibson Lemaster in Salyersville KY.

Although Dora was born in Kentucky, she spent her childhood and early adult life in Lima Ohio. In 1959 Dora graduated from Shawnee High School in Lima Ohio. Dora made the move to Galax, Virginia in 1966 following her marriage to H. Aubrey Funk. Dora was a homemaker who cared for her family with great pride and devotion. Dora became a member of West Galax United Methodist Church in 1971 where she was a dedicated member for many years while her health permitted; she participated in the "Prayer and Share Committee", United Methodist Women, and Church choir. Dora was an avid gardener and reader, but could usually be found at home doing her "Word Find Puzzles" from which she took much enjoyment.

Dora is survived by her Husband: H. Aubrey Funk; Sons; H. Alan Funk (Shannon); Clarence Funk (Barbara); Jimmy Funk (Francis); Daughter's; Teresa Farmer (James); Lori Anne Martin; Grandson: Elijah P. Funk; Granddaughters; Penny Edwards; Patty Bowman; Angie White. Dora is also survived by one brother, five sisters; and a host of cousins; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday Sept. 9th at 11a.m. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at West Galax United Methodist Church.
