**COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR DAVIS FAMILY**

Donnie Oral Davis, age 66, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was born April 15, 1956 in Carroll County, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Berlin Davis and Ethel Monday Davis; two brothers, Ray Davis and Thurman Davis.

Donnie worked with his brothers in construction many years and was a lifelong farmer. He was a proud and dedicated Fries "Wildcat". He had a kind and giving nature, caring for family and friends and helping those who were in need. Donnie never met a stranger.

Survivors include two sisters, Dossa Rea and Roger Kinzer of Fries, Clover Lee and Anthony Choate of Galax; four brothers, Berkely Davis of Fries, Art and Regan Davis of Wytheville, Montie Davis of Tazewell County, Sherman and Debra Davis of Woodlawn. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 26, 2023 beginning at 12:00 noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service.
