Donnie Lee Alderman age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Alderman was born in Woodlawn, Virginia (Carroll County) on September 29, 1942 to Roby Lee and Dorothy Rakes Alderman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Alderman.

He is survived by his wife Linda Alderman of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Robert Thompson of Statesville, North Carolina; sons and daughter-in-law Rodney Alderman of Galax, Virginia; Rev. Brian and Monica Alderman of Bristol, Tennessee; three grandchildren and spouse Ella Kate Alderman; Wesley Alderman; Jared and Amanda Thompson; one great-grandson Solomon Thompson; sisters Violet Brewer and Lois Ann Wagoner both of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Mitchell and Arlowene Alderman of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A drive thru visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery.  A private graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Brian Alderman and Pastor Jackie Poe officiating
