Donald F. Wilson, 75, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home. He was born December 1, 1937 in Galax, Virginia to the late John William and Vera Virginia Porter Wilson.

He is survived by his wife Betty J. Wilson of the home; three children and their spouses: Donna and Tommy Haigler, Randy and Christina Wilson, Linda and Danny Spencer all of Galax, Virginia; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Juanita and Leo Robertson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Nancy and Floyd Ladd of Richmond, Virginia; and Barbara and Jack Stone of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law: Willie and Louise Wilson of Elk Creek, Virginia. Seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Elk Creek, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post #7726.
