Donald Ray Rosenbaum age 48 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home.

Donald was born on November 8, 1967 in Galax, Virginia to Bobby Lee and Joan Elizabeth Fender Rosenbaum. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by aunts Emmajean Lyons; Fannie May Jones; Ovella Rosenbaum and Louise Ring; uncles Carl Smythers; Terry Ring; Julian Fender and Glenn Rosenbaum.

He is survived by his mother Joan Wilson of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Allen and Kim Rosenbaum of Galax, Virginia; nephew Justin Rosenbaum; aunts and uncles Joyce and Robin Hill; Janet and Dallas Hill; Janie Smythers; Betty Fender and Nancy Rosenbaum; uncles and aunts Jerry and Judy Fender; Harlin and Clyda Rosenbaum; George and Joann Jones.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Fairview Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Mt. Valley Hospice or to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
