Donald A Newman's Obituary
Donald A. Newman, 66, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Friday at his home.
Mr. Newman was born November 14, 1940 in Carroll County, Virginia to Claude Swanson "Bill) and Laura Burnett Newman.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth Ann Newman of the home, 2 sons; Doug Newman of Clyde North Carolina, Ronald Newman of the home. Four sisters & Brothers-in-law: Alma Marshall of Woodlawn, Vera McGrady ; Mary Ann & Jim Combs of Hillsville: Debbie & Robbie McCraw of Galax; a brother & sister-in-law: Swanson & Erma Newman of Chester, Virgnia; Brother in-law and spouse: Roger & Gayle Amburn of Fancy Gap, Virginia. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Flowers will be appreciated but the family prefers that donations be given to the Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund
