Donald Murray Smith age 69 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Donald was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 11, 1942 to Cecil Marion and Irene Edwards Smith.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Parthenia and Kenly G. Stoneman, Jr. of Woodlawn, Virginia; several special cousins and many friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton and Rev. Gloria Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Saturday from twelve until time for the service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
