Donald Wayne Melton age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, April 21, 2020 in the New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, Virginia.

Donald was born on November 13, 1956 in Carroll County, Virginia to Carlos Howard and Betty Louise Summers Melton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ted Ray Melton.

He is survived by his wife Glenda Kay Melton of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Terry and Kelly Melton of Galax, Virginia; Randall and Cindy Melton of Hillsville, Virginia; two nieces Jessica Melton and Lindsey Cockerham; two nephews Matthew Melton and Jacob Melton; three aunts Etta Billings; Annie Mae Melton and Helen Summers.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Meadow Creek Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Roger Redd officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Under guidelines from the CDC social distancing will be enforced.
