Donald Dean Lineberry age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday January 16, 2023 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Lineberry was born in Galax, Virginia on May 30, 1935 to Otie Ray and Bonnie Mae Hall Lineberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Sue Pierce Lineberry; sister Linda Simpson; brother Larry Lineberry; brothers-in-law and spouse Kenneth Pierce; Billy and Lois Pierce.

He is survived by his nieces and their spouses Crystal and Jon Nunnemaker of Jonesville, North Carolina; Cassandra and Mike Snavley of Galax, Virginia; Karen and Randy Bitikofer of North Carolina; Angie and Jonathan Stumbo of Tennessee; Emily and Paige Hughes of Tennessee; nephews and spouse William Jones of Galax, Virginia; Greg and Erin Pierce of North Carolina; Aaron and Kristen Pierce of Tennessee; sisters-in-law and spouse Janice and John Jones of Galax, Virginia; Phyllis Pierce of Tennessee; brother-in-law Bobby Simpson of Galax, Virginia; several great -nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
