Donald Bourne Jennings' Obituary
Donald Bourne Jennings, 90, of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the Waddell Nursing Home. Mr. Jennings was born May 1, 1924 in Grayson County, Virginia to John and Nannie Porter Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Harper Jennings.
He is survived by two daughters: Emily Katherine Jennings of Draper, Virginia; Patricia Ann Jennings of Fries, Virginia; special nephew Joe Hicks of Fries; sister Carolyn Jones of Fries; brothers Allen Jennings of Wytheville and Fred Jennings of Fries. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Fries Baptist Church with Rev. John Williams and Rev. Glenn Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday evening from 2:00 PM until service time.
Military rites by Grayson VFW Post #7726 will be conducted at the graveside(Fries Cemetery)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256
