Donald Carroll Harris, age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday May 12, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Harris was born in Galax, Virginia on Friday August 2, 1940 to Edgar Lee & Esther S. Phibbs Harris.
He is survived by his wife Reba P. Harris of Galax, Virginia; daughter Michelle Harris New York, New York; son and daughter-in-law Donald G. & Andrea Harris of Hillsboro, North Carolina; grandchildren Victoria Harris & Isaiah Harris; sisters Zelma Walker of Charleston, West Virginia; Debbie Sanders of Chatanooga, Tennessee; brother Darrell Harris of Yorktown, Virginia and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday May 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home on Monday.
