Donald Ray Combs age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home.

Donald was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 2, 1948 to the late Carlie and Ruby Combs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Darlene Combs and sons Terry Ray Combs and Robert Roy Whitaker.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Kathy Denise and James Boyles of Galax, Virginia; Donna Agnes Combs of Woodlawn, Virginia; Sandra and Brad Bowers of Fries, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Jessie and Jerry Hill of Westville, North Carolina; Darlene Baker of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law J.C. and Teresa Combs of Galax, Virginia; Joe and Linda Combs of Woodlawn, Virginia; Bobby Combs of Floyd, Virginia; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the First Assembly of God Church with the Pastor Angie Lineberry officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
