Donald Bowman age 67 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 19,1938 in Carroll County, Virginia to Paul Jones & Mittie Coulson Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Isom Bowman and a son, Donnie Bowman both of Galax, Virginia; his mother, Mittie L. Coulson Bowman of Austinville, Va.; sisters and brother-in-law, Thelma Bunn of Hillsville, Va.; Barbara Wittensoldner of Hartville, Ohio; Velda Jones of Austinville, Va.; Margie & Clifford Byrd of High Point, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell & Clara Bowman of Akron, Ohio; Paul Jones Bowman, Jr. & Betty of Galax,Va.; Charles & Reva Bowman of Austinville, Va.; James Dean (J.D.) & Elza Bowman of Ararat, Va.; Bernard (Tom) & Judy Bowman; and Elder Ronald Bowman all of Austinville, Va.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Felts Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
