Don Edward Cox, 75, of Fries passed away Thursday December 9, 2021 at the Waddell Nursing Home.

Mr. Cox was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 3, 1946 to the late Woodrow W. Cox and Gladys Eliza Hash Cox.  Mr. Cox proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Doris Lee Cox of the home; stepdaughters Diana Weiss of Missouri; Sonda Sheffey and Wanda Vaught both of Wytheville; Curlen Melinda Martinson of Wisconsin; daughter Renee Slaughter of Florida; sister Christine Christ of Delaware; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time.  At the request of Mr. Cox, he will be cremated.
