Dixie Vaughan Bonham age 87 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the home of her grand- daughter. Mrs. Bonham was born in Grayson County, Va. on July 9, 1920 to Robert & Virginia Lane Vaughan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James C. Bonham. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Dorothy & Cecil Shinault of Galax, Va.; sons Charles Wayne Bonham & Randy Blake Bonham of the home; two grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14,2008 at 11:00 am in Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. James Cowley officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
