Dillard Ray Vaughan's Obituary
Dillard Ray Vaughan age 78 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the Golden Living Center.
Ray was born on April 24, 1935 to Edgar and Grace Stanley Vaughan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Vaughan and a daughter and son.
Ray proudly served his country in the Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie Vaughan of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren Kara, Alli and Devan; great-great-grandson Ayden; sisters and brothers- in-law Mildred Jones of Galax, Virginia; Geneva Nuckolls of Pulaski, Virginia; Nancy Castillo of Fries, Virginia; Wilma and Eulice Campbell of Max Meadows, Virginia; Doris and Roger Davis of Hillsville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Clifton and Margaret Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tony Vaughan officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
