Dillard Twaughne Gunter age 70 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Gunter was born on May 29, 1937 in Grayson County, Va. to Harvey Pierce & Mary Etta Davidson Gunter. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Gunter of Fries, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Darrin & Julie Gunter of Galax, Va.; Derrick & Michelle Gunter of Fries, Va.; Rodney Gunter of Boykins, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Teresa & Roger Burnette of Galax, Va.; Kasena & Wayne Sutherland of Fries, Va.; four grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Bill Linkous and Al Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
