Dianna Faye Burnette age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the UVA.

Faye was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 5,1949 to Alvin Luxor and Georgia Marie Viars Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer Gene Burnette.

She is survived by her children and spouses Kenneth E. and Sherry Burnette of Galax, Virginia; Robert Dean and Linda Burnette; Angie and Robert Lineberry all of Woodlawn, Virginia; four grandchildren Kenna Burnette; Kevin Burnette; Leslie Killon (Seth);  Brooke Lineberry (Tanner); two great-grandchildren Brody Killon and Sophie Killon; sister Teresa Combs of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Michael Dean and Beverly Cox of Oakville, West Virginia; several nieces and nieces.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Galax First Assembly of God with Pastor Cas Horton and Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Galax First Assembly of God Church.
