Dewey Franklin Stuart Jr. age 68, of Fries, Virginia passed away Saturday February 26, 2022 in his home.

Dewey was born on December 21, 1953 in Galax, Virginia to the late Dewey Stuart Sr. & Jacqueline Jonas Stuart. He was also preceded in death by his sister Debra Shaffner and special friend Henry Hill.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann Stuart of Fries, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Kimberly and Jason Childress of Galax, Virginia, Natasha Stuart and Isaac McGhee of Galax, Virginia; sister Barbara Moore of Fries, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Karen and Johnny Dickson of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Wesley Childress, Caleb Childress, Connor Childress, Liam McGhee, and Briley McGhee; special friends Pete Stanley and Gene Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday March 1, 2022 at 4:00PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Chuck Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until time of the service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
