Dennis Cleve Cox age 58 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Dennis was born on September 14, 1950 in Grayson County, Virginia to Cleve & Hallie Liddle Cox. In addition to his mother Hallie Cox of Galax, Va. he is survived by his wife Karen Thomason of Galax, Va.; daughter Heather S. Cox of Low Gap, N.C.; sons & daughter-in-law Derrick Cleve & Crystal Cox of Galax, Va.; Cody S. Cox of Low Gap, N.C.; sisters & brothers-in-law Shirley & Buck Burcham; Sylvia & Pete Killon; Joann & Jim Jennings all of Galax, Va.; four grandchildren; step-daughters Misti Burnette of Low Gap, N.C.; Ashleigh Burnette of Galax, Va; two step-granddaughters; several nieces & nephews; father-in-law & mother-in-law Daniel & Shirley Thomason of Galax, Va.. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm in Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Lindamood and Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from one until service time at Mt. Vale United Methodist Church.
