Demmie Ruth Stamper Breeding age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Demmie was born in Galax, Virginia on October 13, 1955 to Will and Susie Jane McMillian Stamper.
She is survived by her husband Lacy Breeding; daughters and son-in-law Brittany Jennings; Athena and Dennis Yelton; sister Ella Ruth Stamper all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Joe and Nancy Stamper of Galax, Virginia; Charlie and Sandy Stamper of Woodlawn, Virginia; one grandchild and spouse Lance and Kaylene Bryant of Hillsville, Virginia; four great-grandchildren Skye Montgomery Sheffey; Arty Jennings; Rheiner Jennings and Trenton Bryant; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Gladeville Church with the Rev. Dina Clower officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Creek Cemetery in Piney Creek, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Gladeville Church.
