Deloris Gayle Patton, better known as Peanut, age 62 passed away Monday November 19, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born to the late Andrew Jackson Hill and Mary Edith Dowling Hill in Galax, Virginia on Monday, March 6, 1950.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Robin and Chris Cox of Fries, Virginia; two sons Rodney Hill and David Sexton both of Fries, Virginia; three granddaughters: Kelly Hill, Jasmine Sexton, and Kylie Cox all of Fries, Virginia; two sisters: Diane Lundy and Anglea Mabe both of Galax, Virginia; two brothers Bobby Ray Hill of Fries, Virginia and Nicky Handy of Woodlawn, Virginia; step mother Hattie Hill of Galax, Virginia; special nephew and family Kenneth, Eliza and Lakyn Mallory. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Burris and the Rev. Tony Funk officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
