Della Jane Murphy's Obituary
Della Jane Murphy age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Commonwealth Assisted Living in Hillsville, Virginia.
Mrs. Murphy was born in North Carolina on July 7, 1933 to Curtis and Geneva Marsh Horton.
She is survived by her husband Earl Murphy of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Sherry and James Fender of Woodlawn, Virginia; Earlene and Margarito Carranza of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Terry and Di Murphy of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley and Otie Leath; Emmalene and Kyle Kegley all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Vale Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Bunn officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Vale Cemetery Fund.
