Delilah Jean Howard age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

She was born in Pulaski, Virginia on October 13, 1952 to Horace Buford and Martha Geneva Horne Gardner.

She is survived by her husband Rodney R. Howard of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Buford Leroy and Debbie Gardner of Woodlawn, Virginia; James Hick Gardner of Fancy Gap, Virginia; nieces and nephews Peggy Marie Gardner; James Ray Gardner; Amanda Lee Bullion; Timmy Melton; Christana Tate and Michael Dalton.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the New Harvest Christian Worship Center with Pastor Kathy Collier officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the New Harvest Christian Worship Center.
