Debra Jean Johnson Swinney age 59 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her home.

Debra was born in Grayson County, Virginia on January 8, 1955 to Winfred and Mildred Nichols Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Sam Johnson.

She is survived by her husband Darrell Swinney of Fries, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Misty and Danny Pell of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Bridgett Kinzer of Independence, Virginia; Travis and Sandra Kinzer of Fries, Virginia; Daniel and Krystal Swinney of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Winfred and Beverly Johnson of Fries, Virginia; Curt and Sherry Johnson of Independence, Virginia;  sister-in-law and spouse Joyce and Larry Akers; brothers-in-law and spouse Junior Swinney; Tim and Cindy Swinney; fourteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will be private for the family.
