Debra Lynn Shaffner's Obituary
Debra Lynn Stuart Shaffner age 63 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Debra was born in the Cripple Creek Community of Wythe County, Virginia on December 16, 1951 to Dewey and Jackie Jonas Stuart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Amy Stuart.
She is survived by her husband Bill Shaffner; daughter and son-in-law Joy and Ronald Jones; son and daughter-in-law Dustin and Kim Shaffner; three grandchildren Brittany Jones, Brandy Jones and Karlie Shaffner; sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Eugene Moore; Karen and Johnny Dickson; brother and sister-in-law Bo and Ann Stuart; sister-in-law and special friend Phyllis Barker and Harold Coleman all of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Fries United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Thomas and Brother BoBo Gravley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Va.. The family will receive friends Wednesday from seven until nine pm at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the
Fries Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 9, Fries, Virginia 24330 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
