Deborah Kay Grimes age 56 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Deborah was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on April 15, 1964 to Robert Bruce and Ruby Creed Bedsaul

She was  a member of the North Star Coloring Group.

She is survived by her son Aron Grimes and Angel Rushton of Galax, Virginia; step-sons and spouse Jonathon Grimes of Woodlawn, Virginia; Domanick and Melissa Grimes of Horseshoe, North Carolina; eight grandchildren Noah Grimes, Teagan Grimes, Taylor Grimes. Alyssa Grimes, Micah Grimes, Noamie Grimes, Lucas Grimes and Ezra Grimes; sister and brother-in-law Pamela and David Bourne of Ennice, North Carolina; two aunts and spouse Holly Carr of Galax, Virginia; Lanoria and Archie Slater of King, North Carolina; two nephews; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 in the Martha Wilson Cemetery with Pastor James Billings officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Social distancing and mask will be enforced at the cemetery.
