Deanna Marie Lafferty, 4, of Galax, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009 at her home as the result of a house fire. Deanna was born March 19, 2004 in Galax to Amy Ruth Stoneman and Larry Lafferty II. Deanna and her parents all perished in the house fire.

She is survived by her sister Brittany Angel Stoneman of Galax; maternal grandmother Ella Ruth Stoneman of Galax; maternal grandfather William Robert Stoneman of Mount Airy, NC; paternal grandmother Debbie Siler of Galax; maternal great grandmother Mamie Stoneman Isom of Independence, Virginia. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. The funeral service will be held Saturday January 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Myron Dalton and Pastor Craig Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Creek Church Cemetery, Alleghany County, North Carolina.
