Dean Robert Vaughan, Jr. age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at this home.

Dean was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 3, 1963 to Dean Robert Vaughan, Sr. and Minnie Hodge Vaughan.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Anauo of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Brett and Candice Anauo of Hillsville, Virginia; Roger Alley of Galax, Virginia; five grandchildren Laharah Rutrough; Aspirah Rutrough; Xander Burton (True); Addilynn Anauo and Kinsley Anauo; sisters and brothers-in-law Kathy Marsh; Rebecca Vaughan-Funk and Brian all of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Richard Vaughan and Penny Mooney of Max Meadows, Virginia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; his cat Miss Kitty.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Mountain Harvest Church with Pastor Randy Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
