David Ray Webb age 72 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1934 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Albert Sampson and Rhetta Pearl Phibbs Webb. He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Webb of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughters & sons-in-law, Kay Allen of Hillsville, Va.; Shirley & Galen Sharp of Galax, Va.; Lisa & Jamie Bowers of Woodlawn, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law, David R, Webb, Jr. of Woodlawn, Va.; Darryl G. Webb of Galax, Va.; Tommy & Christian Webb of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law, Nellie & Homer Smelser of Wytheville, Va.; brother & sister-in-law, Edmond & Lee Webb or Richmond, Va.. Eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
