David Paul  "Chub" Caudell age 71 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at his home.

David was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 9, 1953 to Raymond and Virginia  "Jenny"Carrico Caudell. In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Betty Caudell Hawks and three brothers Willard "Sonny" Caudell; Raymond Phipps Caudell and an infant brother.

He is survived by three nieces Kathy Davis of Fries, Virginia; Candace "Candy" Johnson (Lloyd) of Ennice, North Carolina; Karen Hasse (Matt) of Charlotte, North Carolina; two nephews Hawkeye Hawks (Rita) of Galax, Virginia; Jeffrey Caudell (Karen) of Texas; sister-in-law Patricia Shaw Caudell of Woodlawn, Virginia; special cousin Ricky Bedwell; several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday. May 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Providence United Methodist Church.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fries Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
