David Scott Hodges age 54 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

David was born on December 19, 1970 in Galax, Virginia to Roger Dale and Hilda Hackler Hodges.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by two brothers Phillip Brandon Hodges and Rodney Dale Hodges.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Hilda Hackler Warf and Lynn of Little River, South Carolina; special companion Hollie Bedsaul and special son Rush Caldwell; three aunts Linda Fortner; Cathy Smith and Mary Ellen Brown.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Vale Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Lindquist and the Rev. Mark Carico officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Mt. Vale Methodist Church.
