David Delano Harmon age 81 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 in the Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Harmon was born on March 22, 1943 in Wythe County, Virginia to Otis and Virginia Akers Harmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Wright Harmon.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Tim and Lisa Harmon of Ft. Payne, Alabama; Otis Charles "George" Harmon of Fries, Virginia; one grandson; sister Dorothy Freeman of Austinville, Virginia; sisters-in-law  Frances Wright of Galax, Virginia; Margaret Mullins of Piney, Virginia; brothers-in-law Lawrence Simons of Wytheville, Virginia; Reed Fisher of Piney, Virginia; one uncle and  aunt Don and Polly Akers of Richmond, Virginia;   several  nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Tony Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
