David Lee Christley's Obituary
David Lee Christley age 79 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday June 16, 2014 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Christley was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 26, 1934 to Earnest and Mary Dales Christley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Sue Melton and Faye Hunt and two brothers Stanley Christley and Dale Christley.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Miller Christley; sisters-in-law Betty Christley of Galax, Virginia; Barbara Christley of Greensboro, North Carolina; brothers-in-law and wife Rhudy and Doris Miller of Galax, Virginia; Gleen Miller of Cana, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Ronny Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
