Darylene June Blair Mitchell age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday April 12, 2021 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on August 20, 1932 in Wythe County, Virginia to Walter Woodson and Mary Susan Porter Blair. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Mitchell; an infant sister and sisters Inez Patterson; Lillian Mabe; and Ann Sheffey; three brothers Howard Blair; Harry Blair and Harman Blair.

She is survived by a sister Nadene Dickens of Wytheville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and their spouse William Wayne Patterson and wife Lois; Margaret Ann; Nancy Smith and husband Bill and their children Joan, Stephen Blair; Jerry Sheffey; Sue Ann Crockett and husband William;Gary Blair and wife Jama; Thomas A. Dickens, PHD and wife Gina; Barry Dickens and wife Sherry; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private graveside service will be held for the family in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. There will be  no visitation.
