Darlene Vaughan Martin age 76 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at her home.

Darlene was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 9, 1948 to Carlie O'Neil and Iva Jones Vaughan.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kim Martin Isom and Rick of Mooresville, North Carolina; son Chris Martin of Hillsville, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Benton and Sue Vaughn of Morganton, North Carolina; Calvin Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; two granddaughters and spouses Courtney Isom Marquardt and Derek of Terrell, North Carolina; Sydney Isom Chapman and Sinjun of Wilmington, North Carolina; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; dear friend Karen Allison of Ivanhoe, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Pastor Charles Hamilton officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Valley Hospice.
