Danny K. Shupe age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Shupe was born on December 24, 1931 in Grayson County, Virginia to Malcolm Q. and Eva Rector Shupe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Guida Bryant Shupe; daughter Barbara Shupe of New Hartford, New York; step-children and spouses Kenneth and Diane Funk of Goodview, Virginia; Nancy and Joe Stamper of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Peggy S. Bryant; Bonnie and Junior Blackburn all of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Benny and Pat Shupe of Galax, Virginia;
sister-in-law Margaret Shupe of Hinton, West Virginia; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Myron Dalton and Rev. Donald White officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Twin County Hospice, The Veterans Affairs or the American Cancer Society.
