Danny Kay Bowers age 59 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home.
Danny was born on September 23, 1953 in Wythe County, Virginia to Roby Linville and Lettie Mae Bowers.
He is survived by his wife Gloria S. Bowers of Fries, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law April and Heath Williams of Fries, Virginia; Betty Hollandsworth/Daniel of Indian Valley, Virginia; sons Gene Bowers of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Ricky Bowers and Donald Lenzi both of Fries, Virginia; mother Lettie M. Burnett of Fries, Virginia; six grandchildren Josh Bowers, C.J. Jones, Preston Hollandsworth, Lexie Williams, Landon Williams and Kayleigh Bowers; several sisters and brothers; several nieces and nephews; special cousin Howard Bowers; special friends the Hodge Family; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Linville and Rev. Robert Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughn-Guynn Funeral Home.
