Danny Lee Black age 55 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022 in Piney Creek, North Carolina.

Danny was born in Galax, Virginia on August 12, 1966 to Glese and Francis Shumate Black. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Terry.

He was a graduate of Carroll County High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy for thirteen years.

He is survived by his son Richard Black of San Diego, California; God-Parents Harold and Linda Shumate of Woodlawn, Virginia; several cousins.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. There will no service held at this time.
