Danish Marie McKnight age 68 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Grayson County, Va. on August 6, 1938 to the late Guy Everett & Laura Eller Pennington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Eugene McKnight, Sr. and a son Charles Eugene McKnight, Jr.. She is survived by daughters & son-in-law Charlene & Michael Massey of Elgin, S.C. and Martha McKnight of Fries, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Robbie & Katherine McKnight; Garry McKnight; Barry & Chama McKnight all of Fries, Va.; brothers Jimmy Pennington of Falls Mills, Va.; Johnny Pennington of Fries, Va.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday February 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Johnson and Allen Jones officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Fuenral Home.
