Daniel Dobson "Dan" Wright, age 82, of Fries, VA died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011.
Mr. Wright was born June 6, 1929 in Grayson County, VA to Walter Samuel and Bertie Emmaline Vaughan Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Groseclose Wright, Fries, VA; daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & David Todd, of Matthews, NC, son & daughter-in-law, Jerry D. & Sandra C. Wright, Fries, VA; grandchildren, Amanda J. Todd and Matthew David Todd; great-grandchildren, Mason Todd & Hayden Todd. Four nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for funeral service on Wednesday. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Tim Smith. The family requests no food and in leiu of flowers please make memorial contributions to your favorite charity.
