Dan Clifford Robinson age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 14,2009 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Robinson was born on May 27, 1923 to the late Johnie S. & Amy Kirby Robinson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Dean E. and Donald K. Robinson. He is survived by his wife of sixty years Helen Crouse Robinson of Galax, Va.. Also surviving are two sisters Doris R. Stein of Mt. Airy, N.C. and Daisy R. Lawson of Pilot Mt., N.C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Galax and a member of the Oldtown Masonic Lodge #68. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 16,2009 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Winford Hendrix and Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Oldtown Lodge #68. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service at the church.
