Dale Wilson LaRue, Jr. (Wilson)was born on February 21, 1954 to the late Honorable Judge Dale Wilson LaRue, Sr, and Ruby R LaRue of Galax, Virginia.

He is survived by one brother, Donald Russell LaRue (Pamela) of Crofton, MD, and one sister, Ruby Ann Branscome (Barry) of Galax, VA; one uncle, Wake Larrowe (Brenda) of Woodlawn, VA, one niece, Angela Branscome Reynolds (Ronnie) of Galax, VA, and three nephews, James Kendall LaRue (Madeline) of Chicago, IL; Dale Russell LaRue (Jennifer) of Hilton Head, SC, and Scott Pervier LaRue (Kristen) of Huntersville, NC.

Wilson passed away peacefully at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. after a short stay.  Wilson was a member of the First Christian Church of Galax and a resident of the Southwestern Virginia Training Center for years until the facility closed its doors.

A graveside service will be held at the Gladeville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Galax, VA. on Thursday at 11:00 AM. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Glenn Sage, pastor at the First Christian Church of Galax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 402 N. Jefferson Street, Galax, VA 24333.
