Curtis Dale Reeves, 77, of Galax passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA. Mr. Reeves was born Thursday, December 13, 1934 in Grayson County, Virginia to Guynn & Ethel Dickerson Reeves. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sons Jimmy
Reeves and Jessie Hankins.

He is survived by his wife: Helen Faye Reeves of the home; children and their spouses: Linda and Larry Bennethun of New Holland, Pennsylvania; JoAnn and Raymond Bennett of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania; Charlotte Lapp of Woodlawn,Virginia; Carol and Dave Lammey of Woodlawn,Virginia; Frances Woods of Little Britain, Pennsylvania ; Marie Smith of Galax, Virginia ; Curtis Wade and Joyce Reeves of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania; Roger Lee and Sharon Reeves of Limerick, Pennsylvania; Charles and Vickie Reeves of Galax, Virginia; Bobby & Michelle Reeves of North East, Maryland; Stevie and Michelle Reeves of Kirkwood, Pennsylvania; Johnny Corbun of North Carolina. Also surviving are sister Linda Hawks of Galax, Virginia, three brothers Thomas Reeves, Mack Reeves and Larry Reeves of North Carolina, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday , November 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Cas Horton and the Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. Interment will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery, Alleghany County, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Monday evening
(November 12, 2012) from 7 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
