Donald Curtis Lawson, 68, passed away Saturday June 30, 2018 in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Curt was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 30, 1950 to the late Eugene and Frankie Collins Lawson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Lawson Pierce.

Survivors include wife, Brenda Williams Lawson; daughter Tana Lawson Isom; son-in-law David Lee Isom; grandsons Joshua Hayes and Amber Burnett; Jeremiah Isom and Brittany Alderman all of Fries; two step grandsons: Dustin Isom of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Chris Isom of Burgaw, North Carolina; a great granddaughter Jayne Laiken Marie Hayes of Fries and great grandson Jaydence Michael Hayes of Sparta, North Carolina; one sister, Imogene Anders of Galax and brother-in-law Earl Dean Piece of Fries.  He is also survived by several nephews and cousins. Two very special friends Michelle and David Jones of Sparta, North Carolina also survive.

Curt donated his body to Wake Forest Medical School for research. There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date when his ashes are returned.

The family will receive friends at any time at the home.
