Curtis Lewis Bowers, Jr., (C.L.) age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
C.L. was born on May 14, 1943 in Carroll County, Virginia to Curtis Lewis and Gertrude Taylor Bowers.
He is survived by his wife Faye Rosemary Bowers; sons and daughters-in-law Lewis Leon and Rhonda Faye Bowers; Terry Lee and Tanya Lou Bowers all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Jessie Lee Bowers, Christopher Leon Bowers and Jeffery Wayne Bowers; sisters and brother-in-law Patsy Bond and Judy and Billy Alley; brothers Joseph Bowers and William Bowers all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friends Chris Vaught and Debbie Crews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the River Hill Cemetery with Roy Riley and Billy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
