Crystal C. Nelson age 56 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Independence, Virginia.
Crystal was born in Wythe County, Virginia on June 17, 1960 to Fred McKinley and Frances Ann Grinnell Crigger.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Charles Nester of Elk Creek, Virginia; son and his companion Nicholas Edward Nelson and Rod Vaughn of Waynesboro, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Kriston Drew and Tiffany Nelson of Rural Retreat, Virginia; four grandchildren Riley Anders; Keagen Nelson; Trent Nelson; Hoyt Nelson; sister and brother-in-law Debra and Mickey Mallory of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Buck and Drema Crigger; Bryan and Melissa Crigger all of Elk Creek, Virginia; Mike and Judy Crigger of Queens Creek, Arizona; sister-in-law Sarah Crigger; several nieces and nephews; father of the children Ronald Edward Nelson.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Freddie Mallory officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
