Cora Belle Reavis Diamond age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Diamond was born in Grayson County, Virginia on November 16, 1936 to Eddie Bruce and Viola Lucille Robinson Reavis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Diamond; sister Jean Jones; half-sisters Georgie Rhudy and Blanche Rector; half brothers William Reavis and Edward Reavis.

She was a very loving and caring mother and was an asset to Baywood and the surrounding communities giving of herself. She was passionate about cooking and loved most laughter and family around the kitchen table.

Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and Tony Caudill; Karen Diamond and Bill Swisher all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Jared Anthony Caudill; Jessica Nicole and Garrett Vaughan; sisters and brother-in-law Vera Edmonds of Woodlawn, Virginia; Betty and Tom Delp of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Hardin and Rachel Reavis; Warren and Mary Reavis all of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law and husband Wanda and Gene Cox of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers Shelby Edgington; Janet Frazier; Barbara Hodge and Patty Faulkner.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ted Bartlett and the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Diamond Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
