Cora Lee Burris age 91 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Burris was born in Grayson County, Va. on November 11, 1915 to the late Crilly Robin & Cora Ellen Hampton Boyer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otis M. Burris. She is survived by a step-son Glenn Burris of Independence, Va.; eleven step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Galax Wesleyan Church with Pastor Barry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
